Everything that was forgotten and left behind at the dorms last year is going on sale this weekend at the first-ever Wildcat Welcome Week Rummage Sale.Β
The sale is at the UA's Surplus Store, 3740 E. 34th St., south of Reid Park β where Alvernon branches into Palo Verde.Β
Just think of all the clothes, mini-fridges and desk laps that were left behind. Here's everything you need to know about the sale:
There's more than just mini-fridges
Everything you can think that might have been left behind in a dorm is going on sale: shoes, clothes, coffee machines, printers and bikes. Campus Sustainability Programs coordinator Julia RudnickΒ said she even saw a pair of UGG boots.Β
*Everything has been reviewed and cleaned.
It's affordable
You can get almost everything for only a few dollars. The prices range from $1 to $50 β with only a few things at $50. You can get a fan for $1. You need a fan for $1, we all do.
Everyone is welcome
Students, if you're moving into your new dorm or into new housing, hit up the sale for any last move in purchases. Everyone else, this is the perfect opportunity to save a quick buck. You will be given a ticket with a bidder number on it that will give you and your party access to the sale.
Register before you go
This makes buying and being part of the sale easier. Register as a bidder here.
*Pro tip: You can't register with your phone.
Get there early
Rudnick says she thinks the sale is going to be a big success, it might even get crazy. Get there early or just be a quick shopper because things will go fast.
Bring your credit cards
Their policy doesn't allow cash payments so make sure to bring your Visa/Mastercard, American Express, money order/cashier's check, or personal checks with a valid ID.
