This new Fourth Avenue shop will feature permanent jewelry, custom hats and paint-and-sips

Tucson’s creative community is about to get even more vibrant as two of the city’s most beloved local businesses, Tipsy Picassos and A Forever Vibe, prepare to open a new joint brick-and-mortar at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13. 

Tipsy Picassos — known for their signature paint-and-sip events and more recently their custom hat-burning workshops — has been a staple in Tucson for years, bringing people together for social and artistic experiences. 

A Forever Vibe, a mobile permanent jewelry service, has captured the hearts of customers with its bespoke jewelry creations. 

Now, these two creative powerhouses are combining forces in a shared storefront, offering a one-stop destination for art lovers, fashion enthusiasts and anyone looking to try something new.

The new space, located at 402 N. Fourth Ave., will feature Tipsy Picassos’ signature hats and classes where guests can design their own one-of-a-kind hats. Whether you're new to crafts or a seasoned artist, the relaxed, fun environment will invite you to shop local art while unwinding and creating a masterpiece with guidance from an experienced instructor. 

“We take wood burners and participants trace pre-sketched drawings on the hats that create intricate and beautiful pieces of art,” said Jennifer “JJ” Johnson, founder of Tipsy Picassos. “People have been loving it so much and our biggest class we had was about 100 people. That was exciting.” 

“We wanted to create a space where people could not only explore their creative side but also connect with each other,” JJ said. “My business has changed so much over the years but socializing and creating art has always been at the heart of our offerings and now we’re taking it to the next level with our own permanent space where the fun never stops.”

Meanwhile, A Forever Vibe, led by Bianca Machado, is known for its custom, permanent jewelry — simple, elegant pieces that are welded together onto the wearer, creating an unbreakable bond between the jewelry and its owner. The new shop will offer a range of permanent jewelry options, from dainty chains to more intricate designs, allowing customers to celebrate milestones or simply treat themselves to a piece of lasting beauty.

“We’ve built such a strong community in Tucson and now we can’t wait to welcome people into our permanent space where they can come and create something that’s truly theirs,” JJ said.

The collaboration between Tipsy Picassos and A Forever Vibe is a natural one, with both businesses built on the foundation of bringing people together through creative expression. Together, they’re creating a space that is equal parts studio, social hub and boutique.

The grand opening weekend, planned for Dec. 13-15 to pair with the Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair, promises to be a celebration of creativity, self-expression and lasting connections, offering a unique mix of art, fashion and fun in one dynamic space.

“We’re so excited to celebrate this new chapter with our community,” JJ said. “This isn’t just a business for us — it’s a way to give back to Tucson and create a space where everyone feels welcome to explore their creativity, make memories, and have a good time.”

For both businesses, the new brick-and-mortar represents a dream come true — a permanent space where they can continue to grow their businesses while supporting the creative community in Tucson, JJ added. They’ve both seen their businesses thrive in the city, but this new venture marks a major milestone in their careers.

“Being a part of Tucson’s creative community has been such an honor,” JJ said. “Opening this space is our way of saying thank you to the people who have supported us and helped us get to this point as well as allow them to find us at our permanent spot.”
