Never have we had a hand in candle-making — until now.
We collaborated with local maker and shop Di Luna Candles to create the candle of our dreams, set to be released in limited quantities on Saturday, Aug. 3.
The Desert S’mores candle is a magical blend of marshmallow mixed with cactus flower and jade.
What does it smell like?
#ThisIsTucson is a tiny team of three. Conveniently, we all love the same types of scents — the sweeter, the better.
When we smelled a marshmallow scent, we knew that was it. But we also knew we wanted to include something reminiscent of Tucson. After all, it's a city we love and work daily to highlight.
After smelling lots and lots of scents with the help of Di Luna's powerhouse sisters Maria-Jose and Maria-Ines Cortes, we settled on a magical blend of marshmallow mixed with cactus flower and jade. We've dubbed the candle Desert S'mores. (We also had a hand in choosing the jar and decorating the candle with dried flowers and lots of sparkles.)
The 14-ounce 4-wick candle is $38.50. It's soy wax, made with natural fragrance and essential oils. Did we mention that it shimmers when it melts? ✨

When and how can I get it?
The candle drops at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 during the shop's weekly Di Luna Saturdays event. That means you'll be able to shop goodies inside the store, plus other local vendors will be set up outside!
Because of the summer heat, Di Luna is unable to ship candles right now, but you can shop online for in-store pickup or purchase the candle in person at 3061 N. Campbell Ave.
We'll be setting up at Di Luna from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 3. Come say hi and get a free sticker! Espressoul Cafe will also be there — they make some of the tastiest drinks around, including coffee, matcha and refreshers. Expect to find Desert Rat Collective, Vons Artistry and E&D baBee Boutique as well.
