Ella Lipham

Ella writes, “I am happy about the future because I hope one day the world can help each other.” A hundred people came to her school this year to pack school supplies, toys and candy for children around the world.

Last year during the holidays, we profiled 10 young Tucsonans who make us hopeful about our city’s future.

We learned about a teen who provides volunteer tech support for a local retirement community and a 16-year-old who collected thousands of dollars worth of sports equipment to donate to kids in Sells.

The submissions we received overwhelmed us. But in a good way.

There are a lot of impressive young people in our community.

So we’re bringing the series back for a second round.

If you know someone 25 or younger who lives in Tucson and is making a difference in our city, in ways big or small, we want to know. This is how we’ll welcome 2017.

To nominate a young achiever or kind kid email jwillett@tucson.com with your suggestions. Please include your full name, the nominee’s full name, contact information for both of you and the reason this person makes you hopeful for a brighter tomorrow.

Please submit all nominations by Sunday, Nov. 27.
