A seventh-grade girl I know recently told me about the time she defended a classmate with special needs when other kids started teasing him.
She has a big, sensitive heart that makes me hopeful for the future.πππ
For the last two years around the holidays, I have written stories like thatΒ βstoriesΒ about young achievers and kind kids with big hearts and big goals.Β
And since holiday traditions are EVERYTHING, we're bringing it back for a third year.Β
To do that, we need you to tell us about the inspirational young people in your life.Β
Last year, I met a 7-year-old who gave $300 worth of her allowance and birthday money to her church's homeless ministry.Β
Giving is not a once-a-year thing for Lynnea Montgomery.Β
Two years ago, I interviewed a teen who volunteered at a senior living facility as tech support.Β
These are young people who rise before the sun to feed the homeless and support victims of domestic violence through the court process.Β
Why?Β Β "It tells them someone cares."Β
They don drummer boy costumes to keep history alive atΒ Presidio SanΒ AgustΓn del TucsonΒ and overcome personal sicknesses and disabilities to pursue their dreams.
This is only Evamaria's second year in public school, but she is rocking it.Β
So much inspiration, so much hopeΒ β something we could all use these days.Β
