Tucson: Lighting of A of Mountain 5k Fun RunΒ β€” Old Main and UA Mall, The UA Alumni Association partners with UA Campus Recreation, Faculty Fellows, Housing & Residential Life, and Campus Health for this year’s event which will serve as the official kickoff to Homecoming. Run, walk or roll. Participants can donate non-perishable food items or a monetary donation to help our students on campus. One hundred percent of participant donations will go to the UA Campus Pantry, which works to reduce food shortage in the Wildcat community. The Fun Run takes place on the UA Mall, 6 loops in front of Old Main to Cherry Ave. 3-5 p.m. Oct. 21.

Lighting of 'A' MountainΒ β€”Β  Top floor of the Main Gate Garage, 815 E. Second St. Hosted by the UA Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Ambassadors.Β  Celebrate with students, alumni and the Tucson community as we kick off Homecoming week festivities with the traditional Lighting of "A" Mountain. Enjoy free food and refreshments. Meet Wilbur and Wilma. Sing "Bear Down" with the alumni pep band and UA cheerleaders. And watch the "A" glow over Tucson. 5 p.m. Oct. 21. 5 p.m.

Alumni of the Year Awards CeremonyΒ β€”Β  Student Union Grand Ballroom South, 1303 E. University Blvd. The University of Arizona Alumni Association takes great pride in saluting alumni and friends of the University of Arizona for their professional achievement, humanitarian and public service, advocacy for education, distinguished volunteerism and service to students, the colleges and the University of Arizona.Β  The 2018Β Alumni of the Year Awards ceremony affords colleges an opportunity to honor and highlight their most accomplished alumni. Homecoming Bonfire and King & Queen Crowning β€”Β  West side of Old Main, University of Arizona. Join the Pride of Arizona marching band, Wilbur and Wilma T. Wildcat, UA cheerleaders, the 2018 Homecoming court, and more at the annual Homecoming bonfire and crowning of the king and queen. The program begins with a march from the Bear Down Friday Night Pep Rally at Main Gate to the Old Main Fountain. Don't miss the crowning of the 2018 Homecoming king and queen. The bonfire starts immediately after the crowning.Β 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

GLOW: A Young Alumni Party at Homecoming β€”Β Americano Mexicano, 800 E. University Blvd. It’s the first young alumni Homecoming party just for graduates from the last five years. Food, drinks, games, good people, photo booth and a DJ. 9 p.m. Oct. 26.Β 

Homecoming Tents onΒ the MallΒ β€” UA Mall. The 104th annual Homecoming celebration is a community-wide event with more than 50,000 alumni and students attending the weekend's festivities. The UA Homecoming Tents on the Mall is a unique opportunity for alumni, students, staff and faculty to come together to celebrate the past, present and future of the University of Arizona. Many colleges, Greek organizations and clubs set up tents for their alumni to mingle before heading to the football game.Β Time TBA, Oct. 27.

Wildcat for Life Tailgate Party: Open to the Public — UA Mall, Corner of Cherry Avenue and University Blvd. Don't miss the biggest tailgate party on the Mall! And don't forget this tailgate is open to the public. Get ready for the game with friends and classmates at the official Wildcat for Life Tailgate Party. All alumni, friends and family are welcome to this FREE event. Enjoy great food, entertainment, a DJ, a photo booth and more. It's the perfect spot to gather with friends before heading to Arizona Stadium for the football game.
