- Bank of America: The company awarded more than $80,000 in grants to seven organizations to support Tucson residents who experience barriers to affordable housing. The funds are the second round of grants that Bank of America has distributed to Tucson nonprofits in 2017. The organizations receiving grants are: Accion, El Rio Health Center Foundation Inc., Family Housing Resources, Green Valley Assistance Services, Habitat for Humanity Tucson, The Primavera Foundation and TMM Family Services.
- Gadabout SalonSpas: The Tucson business raised $1,500 for the victims of Hurricane Harvey over two days. The money was raised through a Denim Days event, in which employees donated money to wear denim. Salon customers were also given the opportunity to donate. Funds raised at all five Tucson locations, as well as two VerVe locations, were matched by Gadabout’s corporate office. Donations were sent by Gadabout to World Care, a nonprofit providing humanitarian aid locally and nationwide.
- Rotary Club of Tucson: Members performed a cleaning and painting of the new offices for the Arizona Theatre Company at 343 S. Scott Ave.
