Homemade gifts in a jar
From the DIY holiday gifts and decorations series
- Updated
Mason jars and their generic counterparts are a wonderful container for homemade gifts. In addition to these shown here, a jar can be used for a first-aid kit. Put in a small tube of antibiotic ointment, several different sizes of bandages, gauze, tape, small scissors, antiseptic wipes and anything else you can think of that will fit.
Fill a mason jar with the dry ingredients for a batch of cookies, soup, or another home-made goodie and include the recipe for finishing the item on the gift tag.
For crafty children, fill a jar with the tools necessary for coloring, stamping, making friendship bracelets or other crafts.
