Sunroom formerly was an outdoor, screened-in porch. Now, however, glass replaces the screens and the bedroom windows (left of the picture) have been covered with shutters to give the room a finished look.

From the Charles Hollises' dining room, one can look through to the spacious living room. The dining room, formerly the kitchen, is papered in a charming gray and white print. Furniture is wrought iron. After the living and dining rooms are carpeted, the Hollises plan to remove the louvered door which separates them. New additions to the house include a kitchen, garage and room for a future den.

Natural wood cupboards and a beamed ceiling give a rustic appearance to the new kitchen in the Hollis home. Brick has been used above the cooking units and over the yellow formica-topped cupboards. The lazy susan in the corner is one of Mrs. Hollis' favorite time-savers.

This is the kitchen before the Hollises remodeled. It has been changed into a delightful dining room which opens directly into the living room. Later, the Hollises will have the living and dining rooms carpeted.

Through the door of the new kitchen is the dining room. The latter, which opens onto the living room through a louvered door, used to be the kitchen. In addition to the new kitchen, the Hollises have added a garage and will soon have the den completed.

Fireplace and planters stretch across the far end of the living room. Windows on either side of the fireplace are covered with louvered shutters painted madonna blue to blend with the brick wall. Rug is beige-rose. Other walls in the room are a grayed white.

Entertaining is fun for the Hollises in their efficient patio. The ramada protects the serving area from the hot sun. The patio is easily cared for - it takes only half an hour to cut and trim the grass.
