In 1966, the Tucson Citizen photographed the home of William J. Hill and family for its home section. The family selected the site for the home they would build at night so they knew they would have a great view of city lights.

An ocotillo at the left and a palo verde at the right highlight the area to the south of the home. Outside construction is brick on the first floor and the upper floor is finished in aluminum siding painted in a light green. Trim is white.

The stairway to the second floor bedroom area is seen from the dining room. A philodendron stands in a large wooden tub in the foyer. Stairs are carpeted in a deep gold tone and foyer floor is in Mexican tile in a green and white pattern. A wrought iron rail in white provides a guard on the stairway.

Elm paneling and brick are used as walls in the family room of the William J. Hill home in Flecha Caida. A pair of milk glass reproductions of old oil lanterns provide illumination from the ceiling.

Tones of moss green and gold are used in the master bedroom of the home. Carpeting is in the green tone, dust ruffle in the gold tone. The master bedroom opens onto a little balcony.

The antique white and gold dressing table in daughter Gloria's bedroom was refinished by her father from an old one. Other furniture is Early American in style and maple wood.

Front entrance of the home is off this porch which spans the west side of the house. This summer Mrs. Hill plans to have flowers blooming in pots along the edge of the porch by the pillars.
