Colorful describes the Dentons' dining room. The recessed shelves at the head of the plank table display Pueblo Indian baskets and bowls. The abstract bullfighter was painted by a Canadian; the Mexican street scene on the other wall by a Filipino. On the table is a Cochiti Indian bread-making bowl.

A pueblo style fireplace takes up one corner of the second sitting room of the Denton home. The wooden figure standing on the hearth was sculpted from mesquite. It represents a Conchero Indian dancer. The primitive figure of a warrior on the mantle is a pre-Columbian piece. Their companion hanging on the wall, a Mexican Indian ceremonial mask, was carved from an armadillo shell.

Jack Wise presented this abstract painting to the Dentons. The colors he chose for it — red, green, white, black and brown — accent the Mexican and Indian accessories in the second sitting room.
