A mountain lion was spotted in Oro Valley Friday, the Oro Valley Police Department said. 

One of the department's followers sent a photo of a mountain lion lounging in a wash near East El Conquistador Way and Camino Diestro east of North Oracle Road. 

The police department took the opportunity to remind area residents that mountain lions live among us and reminded people to not approach or run from the wild animal if they see one.
