Why: For providing loving care at the assisted-living home she operates. She often accepts patients for whatever they can afford to pay, South wrote in her nomination letter. She works to provide a space for patients even before their applications for AHCCCS have been approved. “Martha is truly motivated to help people in their time of need,” she wrote. “Martha is kind and respectful to everyone.”
