STK emergency

A 37-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle wreck south of Tucson, Pima County Sheriff's Department officials say.

Omar Moreno was driving about noon in the 10,000 block of South Nogales Highway, south of the airport, when he likely suffered a "medical event" which caused him to crash, the department said Monday in a news release.

"His vehicle drifted off the roadway, striking a fence and mounds of dirt which caused the vehicle to roll onto its side before coming to a stop," the release said. "Neither speed nor impairment is suspected."

Moreno was found dead inside the vehicle, officials said.

The investigation continues.
