The shooting happened during a road-rage argument about 11 a.m. in the 4000 North Bidahochi Drive, between North Bear Canyon and North Harrison roads, the department said in a news release.

The unidentified man who was shot was hospitalized. Details about his medical status were not provided.

The shooter fled in a red Mini Cooper with black stripes along its sides, the release said.
