A Tucson man was arrested after police say he surrendered in a deadly crash that occurred last month on the city's north side.
About 6 p.m. Nov. 22, Hans Fredrick Morton, 65, was struck as he crossed the street in the 1200 block of West Roger Road, east of North Flowing Wells Road, Tucson police said in a news release.
The driver stopped briefly to apparently check on Morton but fled, leaving him in the roadway, police said.
On Tuesday, Stephan Jud Semak, 54, turned himself into police after investigators identified his vehicle as being involved in the crash, the release said.
Semak was booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal crash, police said.
