Tucson teacher nominated for national excellence award

A second-grade teacher at Sunnyside's Los Niños Elementary School has been nominated for a national award that recognizes and rewards K-12 educators and employees across the United States.

Monica Ayon and other nominees for National Life Group’s 2024-25 LifeChanger of the Year award are educators who make a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.
