Seven Pima County schools are among 53 across Arizona to earn an A+ School of Excellence Award.
The award from the Arizona Educational Foundation is the highest state-level recognition given to a public school.
Pima County's A+ schools include:
âĸ Andrada Polytechnic High School, Vail;
âĸ Canyon del Oro High School, Amphi;
âĸ The Innovation Academy, Amphi;
âĸ Lawrence W. Cross Middle School, Amphi;
âĸ Mica Mountain High School, Vail;
âĸ Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary, Marana;
âĸÂ Wrightson Ridge School, Sahuarita.
The A+ School of Excellence adjudication process is how public schools in the state are recommended to receive the U.S. Department of Educationâs National Blue Ribbon Award.
