Former Arizona Wildcats women's golfer Carolina Melgrati punched her ticket for the LPGA Tour.

Melgrati finished tied for 17th at an LPGA Q-Series event at Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Alabama. Melgrati shot 6 under for the four-day event. Top 25 finishers at the LPGA qualifying school this week earned their LPGA Tour card.

Melgrati is the latest Wildcat to receive LPGA Tour status. The most recent Wildcats to play on the LPGA Tour include Gigi Stoll, Yu-Sang Hou, Vivian Hou, Haley Moore and Bianca Pagdanganan. Notable LPGA golfers from the UA include LPGA great Annika Sörenstam and Lorena Ochoa.

In four seasons at Arizona, Melgrati was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection and competed in the Augusta National Women's Amateur three times from 2022-24. Melgrati had three Top 5 finishes in her senior season last year — four Top 10 finishes as a junior, which was more than her freshman and sophomore years combined.

Melgrati, a Milan, Italy, native, is also a member of the Italian national team.

Arizona senior Carolina Melgrati competed in three Augusta National Women’s Amateur events during her time as a Wildcat.

The LPGA begins the 2026 season at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions from Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando.

The LPGA will also host a tournament in Arizona, the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass at Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler from March 26-29.
