Celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday at Himmel Park Library

Himmel Park Library is hosting a reading event for the whole family with coloring pages, bookmarks and Dr. Seuss books, of course. Go dressed up as a Dr. Seuss character and you can win a prize.

See the meerkats at the Reid Park Zoo

There are more awesome critters to see at the Reid Park Zoo. The meerkats are right next to the otters. It's like double the cuteness.

The new “mob”, or group, of meerkats appeared this week after a reader survey indicated the critters as ones visitors most wanted to see. With support of businesses like Tuff Shed, Arizona Trucking & Materials, A Thru Z Consulting, and Cemrock, the exhibit was born.
