  • Wendy’s: Thirteen Tucson-area Wendy’s restaurants are raising money for Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). Proceeds from the sale of $1 coupon books, good for five free Frostys, will support TGen’s efforts to turn new laboratory discoveries into better therapeutics benefiting cancer patients. The fundraiser, which runs through April 15, is a combined effort of Wendy’s franchise groups in 10 states. In the last two years, participating Wendy’s locations have donated nearly $200,000 to TGen through the Bernice E. Holland Foundation aiding them in raising $1.1 million towards cancer research.
