Tucson Federal Credit Union was recognized for its participation in Tucson Clean & Beautiful’s Adopt-a-Park and Public Areas Program.

  • Tucson Federal Credit Union: For more than a year, volunteers from the credit union have adopted a portion of Tucson Boulevard from Grant Road to Speedway through Tucson Clean & Beautiful’s Adopt-a-Park and Public Areas Program. The group was recognized for their ongoing commitment to remove litter and report maintenance needs at the site. TFCU employees have logged over 13,000 volunteer hours since 2013 through its β€œTucson Matters” campaign to give back to the community.
  • Caliber Collision and Geico: A U.S. Air Force veteran and single mother was presented with keys to a practically brand-new car that was donated by Geico and refurbished by Caliber Collision. The gift honoring Donna Darnell’s service is part of the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program. Darnell received a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta on March 3, during the Cologuard Classic. Darnell’s three sons β€” ages 14, 16 and 23 β€” have been diagnosed with autism and she has her own medical issues. Since the family’s only vehicle broke down two years ago, they have walked or relied on buses and friends for transportation.
  • UnitedHealthcare: 150 members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson will receive Nerf Energy Game Kits from UnitedHealthcare on Wednesday, March 7. The initiative β€” a collaboration between Hasbro and United Healthcare β€” is part of a nationwide program with Boys & Girls Clubs to encourage greater physical activity among youth. The kits are part of a limited-release game that aims to help reduce youth obesity through β€œexergaming.” UnitedHealthcare is donating 10,000 Game Kits to schools and community organizations across the country.
