Jersey Mikeโs Subs: More than $15,000 was raised for TMC for Children as part of Jersey Mikeโs eighth annual โMonth of Giving.โ During the month of March, customers were invited to make a donation to a local charity partner. The campaign culminated on March 28, when 1,360 Jersey Mikeโs restaurants donated 100 percent of sales to more than 170 charities across the nation.
Circle K: Ten Tucson-area Circle K convenience stores will take part in the companyโs Fueling Our School campaign. Community members can use specially-marked fuel pumps to raise money for local schools. Year-round, one cent of every gallon of fuel sold on the special pumps helps support classroom needs, up to $2,000 per school. On Thursday, April 19, 10 cents of every gallon of fuel purchased at participating stores will be donated. To date, the Fueling Our Schools campaign has raised nearly $900,000 for local schools. Whole Foods Market: The Nature Conservancy in Arizona is getting a financial boost from Whole Foods Market during its Community Giving Day on Thursday, April 19. Five percent of proceeds from nearly half of Whole Foods Market stores will go into TNCโs conservation work around the state and globe. In Arizona, TNC is developing solutions to keep more water in the Verde River and to thin forests. Whole Foods first implemented quarterly Community Giving Days in 1993, during which five percent of the dayโs net sales are donated to support local nonprofit or educational associations that align with the brandโs core values.
