  • Family Housing Resources: The support organization of the Industrial Development Authority of Pima County awarded two $50,000 grants to Habitat for Humanity Tucson and the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. Both organizations will use the funds to repair and upgrade residential property allocated to Tucson’s low-income households in the community.
  • The Russell Russo Endowment: Steven Russo and his family have established an endowment supporting intellectual-property education at The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in honor of Tucson attorney Russell Russo, who started the law firm Russo, Russo and Slania PC 60 years ago. The Russell Russo Endowment in Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship was created in recognition of Russell Russo’s 60th year as a member of the Arizona Bar. Steven Russo and his father, Russell Russo, have practiced law together for nearly 40 years . Having retired in 1989, Russell Russo remains of counsel to the firm. The firm combines a business-law and litigation practice with a personal-injury practice.
  • Independent Volkswagen and Audi Services: The Tucson auto-repair shop hosted a charity event car show, benefiting the Angel Heart Pajama Project. The Angel Heart Pajama Project works to distribute new pajamas and books to children in need β€” primarily those in foster care, shelters and homeless shelters.
