The Tucson Realtors Charitable Foundation awarded $7,000 in first-quarter grants to three local nonprofits.

  • Tucson Realtors Charitable Foundation: The organization awarded $7,000 in first-quarter grants to local nonprofits. The funds are donated by its Realtor and affiliate members and friends. The Angel Heart Pajama Project, which provides new pajamas and books to children in foster care, homeless children and children in shelters, received $2,625. The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona β€” which educates, supports, serves and advocates for families with children with cancer and other blood disorders, bereaved families, survivors of childhood cancer and the professionals who care for them β€” was awarded $2,500. The Amphitheater Public Schools Foundation Inc., which promotes academic excellence through the expansion of resources for students, was awarded $1,875. The mission of the Tucson Realtors Charitable Foundation is to enhance the community’s quality of life through financial programs, education, housing-related initiatives and community activities.
  • Rotary Club of Tucson Foundation: The Rotary Club of Tucson has selected five local charities that will benefit from the 12th annual Tucson Classics Car Show. This year’s event is on Oct. 20 at The Gregory School. The beneficiaries are Make Way For Books; the Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation; Wright Flight; Interfaith Community Services; and Job Path.

The 11-year gifting total to Southern Arizona charities from the Tucson Classics Car Show is over $1.2 million. For more information about the event or to register a car, visit RotaryTCCS.com
