Businessman's support of Tucson schools earns Ben's Bell

What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is “belled.”

Why: León and his Dairy Queen team have always been supportive of Tucson schools. León has always looked for ways that he and his DQ team members can support local schools, Darland wrote.

She said he provided one school with 400 ice cream treats on short notice to celebrate good test scores.

“Above the generosity of his contributions stands the spirit he brings to his business and imbues to his team the importance of connection and relationships that build and support community,” Darland wrote.
