Church’s Easter Vigil
has old-time-radio twist

In anticipation of Easter morning celebrations, Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 2331 W. Adams St., will hold an Easter Vigil.

The service begins 7 p.m. Saturday with the kindling of a fire outside to represent creation. Scripture readings will then be presented in the style of an old radio show.

β€œThis is the vigil waiting for Easter morning, so those are readings that are not happy yet, because it is not yet here, but looking forward to it,” said church member Julie Gasaway.

After the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, the church will host an Easter party that includes an egg hunt and petting zoo.
