The Tucson Citizen photographed the home of Howard Jacobson and his family in 1964, for its home section. The house, in Tucson Country Club Estates was updated when the family enclosed the porch for a mother-in-law apartment.

A eucalyptus tree towers over the home of the Howard F. Jacobsons in Tucson Country Club Estates. The Catalinas may be seen to the north. The home is constructed of old brick and the roof is shake shingle. A rose garden flanks the flagstoned porch.

This view from the living room across the patio catches part of the golf course of Tucson Country Club. An adobe wall circles the patio. The seventh green of the golf course is to the south of the property. The 12-foot beamed overhang shades the porch.

Glazed redwood paneling is used in many areas of the home as shown here in the living room. A reproduction of Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" on the wall above the davenport provided some of the color tones for the room.

Arizona flagstone forms the fireplace hearth and the fireplace wall of old brick goes through to the dining room beyond. An oil painting of the Doge's Palace in Venice hangs above the fireplace. Book cases line the west wall.

Birch cabinets are used in the kitchen and tones of turquoise and beige accent the decor. Breakfast room next to the kitchen is separated from the entrance foyer by an ornamental grill in white. Master bedroom is seen at the end of the hall.

Planter areas in front of the home are enclosed in flagstone. Privet and palm trees are included in the landscaping. Again one sees the Catalinas to the north.
