A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a home-invasion attack that left a 73-year-old man dead, police say.
Biven Dryden was in his home near East Broadway and South Craycroft Road Thursday night when police say a man walked in through an unlocked door. The intruder beat Dryden and a 56-year-old woman who also was in the house while demanding money, police said in a news release.
The intruder ran away after the beating. The couple called 911 and a man suspected in the attack was arrested nearby, police said.
Dryden was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman, who was not named, remains hospitalized, police said. Information on her condition was not immediately available.
Malick Fuller has been booked into the Pima County jail on on charges of first degree murder, aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery.
