Hopping lunchtime

If the early crowd Friday and the steady stream opening day Thursday are harbingers of things to come, Lin's Grand Buffet on the southside will become one popular lunchtime destination.

Why wait until Thanksgiving to enjoy a feast, when two of the state's best buffets are right here in town.

Offering "an array of delicious cuisines from across the globe all in one amazing location," Arizona buffets are nothing to miss, according to Best Things Arizona.

And to Tucsonans, it should come as no surprise that two of what Best Things says are the state's best buffets can be found right here in town.

The first Tucson spot to land on the list is Lin's Grand Buffet, which opened on the south side of town earlier this year.

"Lin’s Grand Buffet has all the elements of a great Asian food buffet," Best Things writes in the article. "What’s unexpected, however, is their range of delicious non-Asian food. You can grab everything from pizza to hot wings and enchiladas."

The next local restaurant to land on the list is Govinda's Natural Foods Buffet, a longtime staple to Tucson's vegetarian scene, located on the north side of town.

"Healthy eating and buffets don’t have to be mutually exclusive," the article says. "You can go to Govinda’s Natural Foods Buffet to enjoy the best of both worlds."
