Tucson police have identified a motorcyclist killed in a crash this week on the city's east side.
Joshua Logan Cargill, 36, was riding a 2000 Kawasaki ZR1100 motorcycle north on South Kolb Road about 3:45 p.m. Thursday when he collided with a southbound 2004 Toyota RAV4 that was making a left turn into a shopping center on East Broadway, Tucson police said in a news release.
Cargill was speeding, not wearing a helmet and lacked the appropriate motorcycle endorsement, the release said. He died at the crash scene.
The unidentified driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old woman, stopped immediately and cooperated with police. She was later determined to be impaired, the release said.
The investigation continues and charges are pending, the release said.
