Two people were taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition after a car ended up in a Marana wash Aug. 25, 2016, authorities said.

Five people were injured in two separate crashes in Marana Thursday evening, authorities said.

Two people were hurt in one crash when a car ended up in a wash on North Aerie Drive, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a Northwest Fire District spokesman.

Keeley said they were treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.

The area is south of West Ina Road and west of North Thornydale Road.

In the other incident, three people were injured in a crash at North Silverbell Road near Coachline Boulevard, said Keeley.

The three were taken to a hospital and were listed in stable condition, Keeley said.

Officers with the Marana Police Department were investigating both crashes.
