One person was injured in a vehicle rollover on Interstate 10 near Sunset Road Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle rolled in the median and is slowing traffic in both directions, said Capt. Brian Keeley of Northwest Fire District, about 4 p.m.

Paramedics transported the injured person to a hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time, Keeley said.

The crash occurred after the driver lost control because the vehicle's "rear tire failed," said Quentin Mehr, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.

State troopers remain at the scene investigating the crash.

No further information is immediately available.
