Tucson police are asking the public to help identify a man suspected in robbing three Tucson-area banks, authorities said.

On each occasion, the manΒ handed the teller a note demanding money, and implied that he was armed with a weapon, said Tucson Police Department spokeswoman, Sgt. Kimberly Bay.

The suspect is believed to be responsible for robberies on May 12 at Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union, 2500 E. 22nd St.; April 30 at Chase Bank located inside Fry's grocery store at 2001 East Irvington Road; and April 11 atΒ Washington Federal Bank, 4910 E. Broadway Blvd, Bay said.

On the May 12 robbery, he was seen getting into the passenger side of a white sport utility vehicle, and on April 30, he got into the passenger side of a light blue or gray car, Bay said.

On April 11,Β he was also caught on surveillance at a nearby business with a female who was possibly wearing a wig.

The suspect is described to be in his 50s, standing 5'7" to 5'9" tall, weighing around 150 pounds with a thin build. He's missing several front teeth and both arms are covered in tattoos, Bay said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Gamez, 837-7551 or 88-CRIME, or if he's seen, to call 911 immediately.
