A 26-year-old man was shot to death Sunday night southwest of Tucson after an argument with two men, officials say.

Carlos Jesus Baez-Lugo was shot about 7 p.m. in a desert area near West Valencia Road and South Vahalla Road, near South Camino Verde. He died later at Banner University Medical Center, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The two men involved in the incident went to a nearby fire station and reported the shooting. They are cooperating with investigators, the release said.
