Often an overlooked part of the meal, some people consider French fries to be simply a side dish, and not always a good one.
But for those that appreciate and even crave the simple French fry, OnlyinYourState.com has compiled a list of eight spots in Arizona with fries so good they should be a main dish. Even better news: Three Tucson spots are on the list.
The website says that these spots make fries that are perfectly cooked, and often even improved upon with toppings.
Tucson favorites include downtown's Diablo Burger and Union Public House, 4340 N. Campbell Ave.
The third spot initially came as a surprise, but it was easy to see why the website recommended any one of the plethora of Nico's scattered around town.
"Every region has its own style of fries and carne asada is definitely one of ours here in the Southwest," the website tells readers. "If youโve never had the pleasure of taking a bite of carne asada fries, let the dish at Nicoโs be your introduction."
