Darden Restaurants: Darden Restaurants has helped Feeding America provide 10 member food banks, including the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, with 26-foot refrigerated trucks. The trucks can transport up to 12,000 pounds of food at a time. Each food bank also received $20,000 to use for food and other needs. The gifts are made possible through a $2 million grant from the Darden Restaurants, Inc. Foundation and support from partners Penske Truck Leasing and the Lineage Foundation.
Coldwell Banker Realty Arizona: The Williams Centre office of Coldwell Banker Realty Arizona hosted a successful seventh annual Toys for Tots Charity Drive, collecting 150 new toys and seven bikes for the Toys for Tots Program.
Paul Dias: Tucson McDonaldβs Owner/Operator Paul Dias hosted the second annual βMcKicks for Kidsβ event, providing 400 pairs of sneakers to the local community. Dias dedicated the entire year to gather the shoes for the giveaway, receiving support from the University of Arizona. Each pair came with a coupon redeemable for a Happy Meal or Extra Value Meal at any of Diasβ restaurants across Tucson. Dias also planned to provide shoes to his restaurant crew and their children, as well.
Zanes Law: The law firm awarded $5,000 grants to 20 Southern Arizona organizations as part of the 20th anniversary of its Zanes Law Charitable Initiative. Another three organizations received grants of $1,500 each.
