A 47-year-old man was shot and killed during a traffic dispute Friday with another driver, marking the second fatal road rage incident in Tucson in less than a week, authorities say.

Meanwhile, a man was shot to death this weekend in a road rage attack in Sierra Vista.

The most recent fatal traffic dispute here happened about 5:45 p.m. Friday when two armed motorists argued “over an incident that occurred in the roadway,” while they were stopped at a red light near South 12th Avenue and West Ajo Way, Tucson police said Sunday evening in a news release.

One of the drivers, an unidentified 21-year-old man, fired his gun, mortally wounding Eliseo German, the release said. German was later declared dead at the scene.

The 21-year-old driver called 911 after the shooting and was located by police nearby, the release said.

No charges were filed while the homicide investigation continues, police say.

Once completed, the investigation findings will be presented to the Pima County Attorney’s Office for review, the release said.

Anyone with information on Friday’s shooting is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.

It was the second road rage killing in the Tucson area in the last week.

On Thursday, a 77-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in a fatal road rage shooting on Tucson’s southwest side.

Thursday’s shooting happened about 4:20 p.m. near West Ajo Highway and South Kinney Road, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has said.

Martin Bloom, 56, died later at a hospital.

Robert Ryan was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, authorities say.

Pierre

In the Sierra Vista incident, a 53-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon when police say a driver shot several rounds into the driver’s windshield after a traffic dispute resulted in a rear-end crash.

William McCutchan was found dead in the driver’s seat a short distance away, Sierra Vista police said.

Zacarius Pierre, 37, was booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said.
