Tucson Police have made a second arrest in the the stabbing death late last month of a 24-year-old man on Tucson's south side.

Mario Antonio Avechuco, 24, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the Oct. 30 killing of Daniel Flowers, Tucson police said Wednesday in a news release.

Avechuco is the second man arrested in the killing. He was booked into the Pima County jail on one count of first degree murder. Bond was set at $1 million, the release said.

On Nov. 10, police arrested Robert Faustino Hance, 23, in connection with the killing.

Flowers was found mortally wounded in the 700 block of W. Idaho St, near South 12th Avenue, police say.

Detectives continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
