A two-vehicle crash in Marana sent two people to Banner-University Medical Center Tucson with critical injuries.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday on the Twin Peaks overpass at Interstate 10, said Deputy Chief Scott Hamblen of Northwest Fire District.
The two injured were in a Mercedes sedan, said Hamblen. The driver of the other vehicle, an SUV, did not need to be transported to a hospital.
Motorists were advised that the eastbound on-ramp at Twin Peaks to I-10 is closed. Travelers are urged to use the Avra Valley Road on-ramp to get onto I-10, Hamblen said.
Officers with the Marana Police Department were on scene conducting an investigation.
No further information was immediately available.Β
