Inelda Provencia, 50, of Tucson.

A 50-year-old Tucson woman was arrested Friday night, after she fled from Pinal County police during a traffic stop and danced around topless when she finally came to a stop, authorities said.

50-year-old Inelda Provencia was booked into the Pinal County jail in connection with charges of unlawful flight, but additional charges are pending.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, Sheriff's deputies tried to stop Provencia's car after she was observed speeding down I-8, said a post on the department's Facebook page.

Provencia slowed down and put on her emergency lights, but kept driving for several miles at speeds up to 90 mph.

The car merged onto I-10 east, finally exiting at Sunland Gin Road and turning into a truck stop parking lot. She drove around the fuel pumps and returned to the main road before she was finally stopped when deputies blocked her car.

When she got out of the car, Provencia, who identified herself to police as Jesus, put her hands in the air and began to dance, said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

"She then took off her shirt and bra and stood behind her vehicle. Deputies approached her and placed her under arrest," he said.

Deputies were able to identify Provencia after locating her Social Security card inside of the car.
