A 53-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Monday evening in the Catalina Foothills, authorities say.
About 7 p.m., Michael Rivers was riding west on East Orange Grove Road she he was struck by an SUV turning left at North Shadow Bluff Drive, near North First Avenue, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday in a news release.
Rivers died later at the hospital.
The driver of the SUV, Cindy Ward, 65, was not injured. She was cited on suspicion of causing serious injury during a moving violation, the release said.
