A 65-year-old woman was struck and killed Sunday night while crossing East River Road, Tucson police say.
Donna Lorene Noletti was not in a crosswalk about 7 p.m. when she tried to cross River Road near North Stone Avenue, Tucson police said Monday in a news release.
Noletti was crossing from north to south when she was struck by a westbound 2015 Ford Fusion. The driver, a 37-year-old man, stopped immediately and cooperated with the investigation, the release said.
There have been seven fatal pedestrian crashes in Tucson so far this year, police say.
