STK emergency

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on the drivers of one or more vehicles who struck a pedestrian in a deadly crash earlier this month.

Willius Ventura, 35, was struck by a vehicle just after 7 p.m. Jan. 17 on South Palo Verde Road, south of East Irvington Road, the department has said.

Ventura apparently then fell into the street and was struck by as many as two more vehicles, said a news release Monday from the department.

The driver of the first vehicle that hit Ventura stopped, but the others fled the crash scene, the release said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
