Redington Road, on the far northeast side of the Tucson area, is closed at the base due to a large wildfire, the Pima County Sheriff's Department reported on Friday evening, March 31.
"Please avoid the area if possible," the department said at about 7:30 p.m.
The road leads into national forest land in Redington Pass.
