Authorities have identified a 24-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning on the Catalina Highway.
About 9:30 a.m., Orion Sherry crashed a 2023 Rivian pickup truck through a guardrail and down a steep embankment near milepost 9 of General Hitchcock Highway, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday in a news release. Sherry died at the crash scene.
Witnesses told investigators Sherry was driving recklessly prior to the crash, the release said.
The investigation continues.
