STK emergency

An 81-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Friday evening on Tucson's northwest side, authorities say.

James Boyle, 82, was rear-ended by a Jeep SUV as he waited at a red light at West Ina Road at North La Cañada Drive, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Sunday night in a news release.

Boyle was declared dead at the crash scene, the release said.

The collision caused a chain reaction and eventually five vehicles were involved in the crash.

The unidentified Jeep driver and another driver were taken to the hospital, the release said.

The investigation continues.
