A 40-year-old woman who was struck by a pickup truck after she stepped into traffic from a raised median has died from her injuries, authorities say.
Julie P. Nagel was walking on a raised median on West Speedway near North Stone Avenue about 5:40 a.m. Tuesday when she stepped into eastbound traffic and was struck by a pickup truck, Tucson police said in a news release.
The driver of the Ford F-150 pickup truck, an unidentified 41-year-old man, stopped immediately after the collision, police said.
No citations were issued.
Police said they were notified Friday that Nagel had died at a hospital.
