The calendar says May, but Tucson could still see highs in the 70s beginning Sunday.
The cooler days β and potentially windy weekend β will come after a slight warming trend this week, the National Weather Service in Tucson said.
The breezy and windy weather is due to a system moving across Southern Arizona. Chances for strong and gusty wind is especially high on Sunday, the forecast says.
The high temperatures in Tucson for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be in the high 80s.
But Sunday is expected to reach about 78 degrees.
And Monday and Tuesday of next week are expected to stay below the mid-70s, the weather service said.
