UPDATE: Officials ID woman killed in Friday's freeway crash in Tucson

A woman was killed Friday afternoon when a blown tire led her to swerve into oncoming traffic on Interstate 10 near the Kolb Road exit, officials say.

The woman was driving west on I-10 shortly after 2 p.m. when she crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, leading to a multi-vehicle crash, authorities say.

The woman died at the scene, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

One of the eastbound lanes has reopened near milepost 270, and it is unknown how long it will take to reopen the second.
